PERFECT WORKMANSHIP
When replicating the interior of a driver’s cab in a simulator, careful attention to every detail is crucial, from the arrangement of control elements to the careful selection of materials.
Only safe, certified materials are used in production, which reduce the risk of chemical and fire hazards. The assembly process has been carefully designed to maximize durability by preventing unwanted damage or noise while the simulator cabin is moving.
Ensuring safety at all stages of training ensures participants can engage in simulations with confidence, knowing that their environment is not only realistic, but also free from potential hazards.
QUALITY ASSURED
Fidelity in product reproduction, consistency in design, quality of graphics and available functionalities allow the company to get closer to achieving the best results and goals.
Driver’s Desk replication
SIM Factor software is designed to allow very accurate simulation of any system and component that is equipped on rail vehicles of any kind. For every simulator, the focus is to replicate the driver’s cockpit in such a way that it’s indistinguishable from a cockpit found in a real vehicle. This includes utilising original parts or maintaining the exact look and feel of the original by high-fidelity replication of every controller, switch, button, or train operation display.
Forces that need to be applied to move any given controller are precisely measured on the real vehicle and then applied and tested in the simulator. Each button, switch, or controller is seamlessly integrated with a PLC unit, ensuring efficient data analysis at over 100 times per second. This data is then transmitted to the SIM Factor Simulation Engine, which manages the production of corresponding audio and visual effects.
Focus on details
Actuators, switches, buttons, and manipulators are manufactured using original components adapted to the needs of the simulation or exact replicas guaranteeing the same appearance, strength, and direction of operation as the original components.
The gauges, as well as the handles, are reproduced in the most accurate way to reflect the real work environment of the original driver’s cockpit. The function of the controls and indicators in the simulation are reproduced in the most accurate way to reflect these elements original functionality.
The use of full integration with the PLC’s provided as part of the solution ensures that the indicators and other elements relevant to the driving of the vehicle are under full control of the simulation system.
